This is an original antique French enameled cast iron parlor stove surround missing the inner firebox? Nearly all pieces are marked SDF on the inside surface. The front of the stove has a hinged door that opens, the back of the stove has a chimney flange, and the top of the stove lifts off and bears the original finial. There is a tiny hairline crack in the metal on the top near the edge (shown close-up in the last photo) and some chips, scuffs, scratches, and crazing in the enamel, but no other major damage. The enamel is smooth and shiny overall with only a few areas of heavier wear. The entire piece is solid and sturdy. Assembled, the stove measures 15 1/2″ square at the base x 38″ H.
