Beautiful Antique French Art Nouveau Pied-selle Enamel And Iron Stove
This is a beautiful, antique French Art Nouveau baked enamel and iron stove. It was made sometime in the 1920’s. The top of the stove reads Pied-Selle Brevette S. G. D. G. It is in non-working condition and should therefore be used for decorative purposes only side table, sitting inside a non-working fireplace, etc. It is very dusty on the inside and there is a chippy brick like object also on the inside. I have no knowledge of it other than that. It sat next to my mom’s sofa for easily 40 years. The enamel work is in stunning condition especially considering how old it is, and has only minor, normal wear for its age. Highly decorative with beautiful, intricate designs all over it. Comes from a smoke-free home.

This vintage Griswold Manufacturing Co. Four-paddle cast iron french waffle maker, with spiderweb pattern, has capacity to cook eight waffles simultaneously which is very RARE! I’ve seen numerous Griswold french waffle irons with one, two or four waffle designs but none like this one which has capacity for eight. Griswold Manufacturing was in business from 1865 through 1957. It had a world-wide reputation for high quality cast iron cook ware and very prolific in the latter 19th century and made a lot of cast iron french waffle makers and other cookware in its Erie, Pa facilities. This item shows a patent date of June 29, 1880. Today Griswold peices are highly collectable. This waffle maker has not been restored or seasoned, only cleaned, and is in very good condition. The lifting ring is missing on one side, and there is one barely detectable crack through one of the cross members, as shown in one of the pictures, but this does not affect function, nor does it create any “wiggle” or movement in the piece. The base of the waffle maker is approximately 21″ long, 10″ wide and about 3 tall as seen in the photos. It weighs 20 lbs. We will be happy to answer any questions so please ask! ANTIQUE FRENCH STOVE HEAVY CAST IRON ORIGINAL TILES. This rare antique stove from France, made of heavy cast iron with brass trim is in excellent condition and requires no restoration. Carefully maintained, it is decorated with the original tiles from France, and all are in good condition, with the exception of two tiles, that have cracks, but are not visible. The oven doors open and close and the plates can be lifted to view the burning embers inside, if it was lighted! This stove would make a unique display unit in a bakery or restaurant where it could be piled high with fresh oven baked bread, and rolls, or displayed with cooking pots and casseroles in a cookware store. Bring three strong people to help with the move – it is heavy and there is no one to help. Circa guesstimate: Late 19th Century, early 20th Century. SIZE 32 wide x 24 deep 32.5 high inches. Thank you for visiting our listing! Here we have an European French Cast Iron Hand Painted Porcelain Tile Wood/Coal Burning Stove. The item is simply beautiful and truly one of a kind! It has been in our family for generations and is dated to around 100 years old! Most recently, it had been used as a sideboard in our kitchen for many years. The oven is made of cast iron and features gorgeous hand painted blue, yellow, and white porcelain tiles around the front and sides of the oven. Back includes an exhaust (no tiles). Oven includes one large burner on top, a large door that opens to add wood/coal, two exhaust vents, and two pull out drawers on the bottom. Item even includes the original tongs! Item is in need of some TLC after being stored the past few years and has developed rust on the top (see photo for details) and inside. The top has become loose and bent (see 1st photo). Item does include a crack on the burner (see 3rd photo). Some tiles also have signs of aging (see 2nd photo). With that said, item can be restored to near its original beauty. Given the age of this item, the condition of it is what you would expect. This extremely rare one-of-a-kind antique oven would make a lovely addition to one’s home as a side table in the foyer or sideboard/serving table in the kitchen/dining room!
