Early Unmarked #9 / 11-1/2 Cast Iron Skillet, restored
Old cast iron skillet. Big for a #9 at about 11-1/2 not including the spouts. Looks like it was made with a first series Erie pattern wide spouts, scooped handle, distinct handle rib, etc. There are no cracks, breaks, etc.. No glaring issues / clean, but used / old so could be scratches, utensil marks, dark spots where oil pooled during seasoning, etc. It has a slight bow just about even with the heat ring, it doesn’t really wobble, has light tics / taps, and it will spin on a very smooth/ hard surface. It has not been used since the restoration process… Photos were taken outdoors in natural light and are a big part of the description. I’ve restored hundreds of pieces of cast iron cookware. All go through lye to remove any crud, organic material, seasoning, etc. Then I run them through the electrolysis process to remove any corrosion, rust, impurities, etc. They are scrubbed by hand using dish liquid, stainless steel scouring pads, stainless steel brushes, and magic erasers under cold water to bring them back to the bare metal finish. Finally, all pieces are run through three rounds of seasoning using vegetable shortening. Cast iron cookware will last hundreds of years and generations if properly taken care of. These are beautiful, heirloom quality pieces made right here in the USA. Will be bubble wrapped and surrounded by packing material to ensure that they don’t shift in transit. They are not making cookware like this anymore, and I would consider it tragic if anything were to happen to these in transit. Just contact me before to make sure we can make arrangements that work for both of us and I’ll add the option to the listing. If you have any questions, need additional pictures, or anything else please message me. Thank you for viewing this listing.

WAGNER WARE #10 Cast Iron DRIP DROP Raised Letter Skillet Cover 1070 RESTORED
Here’s a beautiful fully marked cast iron Wagner Drip Drop skillet cover, circa 1920s. This was stripped to bare iron via lye bath and re-seasoned with four coats of Crisbee at 500 degrees. There is a minor casting flaw under the’r’ in’drip’ and some minor pitting on the outer edge in one area (both shown in photos). Otherwise this is in remarkable shape. Ready to go out of the box!

Vintage Hammered Cast Iron Chicken Fryer With Matching Cover Restored
Vintage cast iron chicken fryer / deep skillet with hammered finish and matching lid. Made circa 1940s (an educated guess). The skillet measures 11 1/4 inches wide and 3 inches tall. The cooking surface measures 8 1/2 inches across. Sits nice on a gas or electric coil stovetop but may not be appropriate for a glass stovetop due to a wobble. The exterior surface is excellent with no pitting or rust damage. The interior cooking surface is nice and smooth with minimal marks from age and use. About Cast Iron Archaeology. Restoring vintage and antique cast iron cookware is my passion. For me this is a labor of love. The difference between my cast iron and the others out there is the attention to detail. First, I strip it down to the bare iron with my all natural process. Then, I season each piece using a combination of beeswax and natural oils. Seasoning takes one hour at a time in a 450 degree oven and is repeated as many times as it takes to achieve that nice glossy coating. The entire process takes about a week to complete. This is a professional restoration done right from start to finish and I would put my cast iron up against any you can find online or anywhere else. Thank you for considering a product from Cast Iron Archaeology! Some as old as 120 plus years. And they have seen much use. They are not perfect. They will have utensil marks and small scrapes and nicks. We try to point out any significant abnormalities or damage in our listings. When it is stated that the skillet is flat, it means that there is no bow, wobble or spin. It is very rare that a vintage cast iron skillet will have absolutely no movement on a glass surface. Most were not perfect coming out of the foundry. There will likely be some small amount of movement on a flat surface. If the skillet is absolutely perfect I will definitely point that out.
