Antique Caboose Railroad Wood/Coal Stove from Estate #249 from 1912
This Stove is located in Superior, WY which was a product of the Union Pacific Railroad. Not to mention that the area is very rich in fossil fuels like Coal. It is an old Wood/Coal Potbelly Stove, used to heat the caboose and parlor cars. The railroad connection “Tell” is the raised lip that is surrounding the perimeter of the stove top. This design feature kept the kettles and pots from falling from the stove top, while the train was in motion. This stove comes with the Estate handle, a Cole’s Original Ash Shovel and a 6″ Stove Flue with the 6″ Stove Damper. Looked over the stove and did not notice any cracking of the metal. Latches and doors all open and close. Make sure to bring help and a vehicle that can transport it.
