In this listing – a nice vintage cast iron stove door and frame set – it is branded Ironsmith and is heavy and curved so it must have come from some kind of pot bellied or rounded front stove. I pulled it out of a rock pile while metal detecting on a family homestead. The door and frame cleaned up really well. I initially had only the door listed but went back to the site and dug out the frame as well. This set would be perfect for a barrell stove build. The door is 14 1/2″ X 12″ measured outside edge to outside edge straight across (excluding the handle part) – measured across and over the curve it is 15 1/2″ and the curve puts the top 3 1/2″ above a level surface. The frame borders add a couple of inches all around to really trim out the door. One door pin needs to be replaced – the handle has a little bit of wiggle but will take some work to get it turning again. Overall – a very heavy and good looking door.
