This is a perfect working stove in the cellar of my 1895 Victorian home. When the outside temp goes below 15 degrees, I fire up this work of art with the accumulated wood from around my property. Years ago burnt coal for weeks at a time. If you know how to work these things, you can make it glow at the lower belly! But, be careful, that’s how to burn down your house. The heat is amazing, prevents frozen pipes in the cellar and walls. Footprint is 27″ x 27″ and 47 to the stove top. I have owned and used this beauty since 1960, All the doors are snug and work properly, no parts missing, the deflection baffle is there in the upper chamber, all the bolts are there. There is a crack in the front of the lower belly which was there when I bought this stove and all these years later has not progressed and remains unchanged, it’s tight and does not leak. These stoves have interesting histories and today are very rare, lots got junked because you must have working knowledge of how to start these up without filling your dwelling with smoke to be successful at the hours and hours of free heat you get. This is a working stove with solid original grates, not a restored show piece for display. Although you can paint it and make it look nice.
