This Stove is located in Superior, WY which was a product of the Union Pacific Railroad. Not to mention that the area is very rich in fossil fuels like Coal. It is an old Wood/Coal Potbelly Stove, used to heat the caboose and parlor cars. The railroad connection “Tell” is the raised lip that is surrounding the perimeter of the stove top. This design feature kept the kettles and pots from falling from the stove top, while the train was in motion. This stove comes with the Estate handle, a Cole’s Original Ash Shovel and a 6″ Stove Flue with the 6″ Stove Damper. Looked over the stove and did not notice any cracking of the metal. Latches and doors all open and close. Make sure to bring help and a vehicle that can transport it. What a STUNNING piece! For sale is this Antique Ornate Estate Oak Series No. 314 Cast Iron Parlor Stove. In overall good antique condition, especially considering its age. I have no idea if this was ever refurnished or not. Stove does have expected wear, rust, and marks from age and use. There is also small ding on back of finial and a split in top silver ring as highlighted in the photos. It has not been tested. This would make a fantastic addition to any shop, collection, or home. 1896 Estate Oak H-Series NO. 7720 Antique Parlor Stove. This was the Hudson Bay Fur Trading Companies parlor stove. It has all the original pieces. This is the same stove they have at the Stanley Hotel with one exception: this has more detail than the Stanley’s. It breaks down in sections for easier transport. Stove is in decent condition but is missing the top burner cover/decoration and has some wear and corrosion throughout. Mica on the door is in good shape, some panels are not installed but there is a very full bag of unused “tiles” included. Brackets seem to need to be carefully slightly bent straight for the top two standing decorative panels so they sit just right. Ventilation shafts may need shielded around the borders as shown in the last pictures. Also I’m not sure if that hole is supposed to be like that in the center pipe as shown in the second picture. Pennsylvania Railroad Potbelly Caboose Stove Cast Iron Coal Wood Burning. FINIAL NOT INCLUDED AND IS LISTED SEPARATELY. There is some surface rust but it is in excellent condition for it’s age. All hinges grates and latches in working condition. We believe this was made by the Hamilton, OH Estate Stove Company. This particular stove is a combination cooking and heating stove which can be used either for coal or wood burning or as a decorative piece for your house. This stove was given as a gift to a local private school in the original caboose. Later, it was given as a gift to my mother (let’s be honest it was really for my father) who was a beloved Math teacher. It had been kept in the caboose until the caboose was repurposed as a classroom. Since then, it has been kept on our covered front patio on the stand as shown. The stove was oiled when it was delivered to our home and has just been cleaned (with appropriate Cast Iron cleaner: Caron Doucet Cast Iron Soap) and oiled (Caron Doucet Cast Iron Oil) recently.
