For sale is an authentic Peninsular Stove Co. “Log Cabin” cast-iron parlor/box stove, manufactured in Detroit, Michigan in the late 1800s to early 1900s. This beautifully crafted piece features ornate Victorian-era scrollwork, a front door marked 1882 (pattern/model date), and decorative cast legs. Peninsular was one of America’s major 19th-century stove makers, and their “Log Cabin” line is harder to find than their more common “Oak” or parlor models. This stove is ideal for collectors, restorers, historical reenactors, cabin owners, or anyone looking for an eye-catching antique decorative piece. With cleaning and seasoning, it can also be restored to functional condition. Maker: Peninsular Stove Company, Detroit, Michigan. Model: “Log Cabin” (size 25). Material: Solid cast iron. Ornate embossed detailing on front and side panels. Front feed door with Victorian relief and “1882” pattern. Top-loading round burner plate with flue collar. This stove is in as-found antique condition with surface rust, dust, and typical age wear, but no major cracks or structural damage observed. The ornate panels and embossed details are all intact.
