This vintage Mi-Pet cast iron deep skillet fryer has been expertly restored to its former glory and is ready for use in your kitchen. Fully & completely restored. Mi-Pet Cast Iron Deep Skillet Fryer. Soaked in a lye bath then placed in an electrolysis tank for 24 hours. Seasoned 3x with grapeseed oil and baked in an oven at 475 each time to establish polymerization. No cracks or chips and ready to put back into service. 10 inches in diameter & 3 inches deep. Some as old as 100 +/- years. They were produced from sand casting molds by hand. Over the decades they have seen much use and are not perfect. They will have utensil marks including small scrapes and nicks. We try to point out any significant abnormalities or damage. It is extremely rare that a vintage/antique cast iron skillet will have absolutely no movement on a modern glass surface. Most were not perfect coming out of the foundry. There will likely be some small amount of movement on a flat surface.

HTF Griswold #1003 DEEP Fat Fryer with bail no basket or lid. Grab it now as you may never find another one again! Made in the 1950s. Smooth bottom and cooking surface was not machined in the factory. There are no chips, cracks, break, etc. No outstanding problems to mention, there may be a casting flaw, utensil marks, scratches, dis-colorization, staining, etc. Here or there, which I believe adds a lot of character to the item. Has not been used since the restoration process. Photos were taken indoors in natural light and go a long way to help description. I’ve restored many of pieces of cast iron cookware. All go through lye bath to remove any crud, seasoning, etc. At least one round in the electrolysis tank, then they are scrubbed by hand using stainless steel pads, stainless steel brushes under cold water to the bare metal finish. All pieces are run through three rounds of seasoning using cooking oil. Cast iron cookware will last forever when taken care of. These are beautiful quality pieces made right here in the USA. Will be bubble wrapped and surrounded by packing material to ensure they arrive unharmed. If you have any questions, need additional pictures, or anything else please message me. When it is stated that the skillet is flat, it means that there is no bow, wobble or spin. It is very rare that a vintage cast iron will have absolutely no movement on a glass surface. Most were not perfect coming out of the foundry. There will likely be some small amount of movement on a flat surface. I don’t accept offers, thus the reason it is turned off.

However on the cooking surface there are some pits. (showen and marked) Around the lid handle there is what appears to be a casting flaw. This is a vintage mid-century Foster Stove Co No 8 deep cast iron chicken fryer skillet in restored condition. The cooking surface has hints of utensil scores and one visible pit from corrosion These are undetectable as you glide your fingers over a glass smooth surface. Ten sheets of printer paper slipped under one side of the pan stops movement on a polished granite surface. No chips, cracks or repairs and does not spin. Test for flatness of item. With the item resting on a polished granite surface, press down all along the top rim searching for movement. If movement is found, slip pieces of printer paper under one edge of the until item stops moving. Item was stripped down to bare metal using collector approved lye bath and electrolysis treatments. This process ensures the removal all residue from previous use making it safe to use once more. Item is lightly seasoned with one round of Crisco at 450 for 1 hours. This item was photographed in very bright light to highlight fine details. Under these lighting conditions, item may take on a brown color. Items are much darker under normal light. Because item was stored for many years, there may be spots of light surface rust. This can generally be washed away then re-seasoned before use. This item is photographed in very bright light to highlight fine details. Under these lighting conditions, item may take on a brown color. Item is much darker under normal light. Here is a large Cast Iron Sportsman Fish Fryer and Griddle Lid. The fryer is No. 3060 and the Lid is No. Marked Made In USA on both pieces. The lid has Patent N. 219833 and Sportsman Cover Griddle and the fryer is marked Deep Fish Fryer. The inside of the fryer (the pan) measures 17.5″ x 9″ and it is 4 deep. The overall width of the fryer is approximately 20.25. In great shape; no cracks or chips. Sits flat with a slight rocking in the short direction.
