This is a very beautiful Martin Stove and Range #8 cast iron skillet with a fully detailed Martin Stove logo on back with matching lid cover in excellent used condition. The inside has a smooth finished surface with no pitting or significant urensil marks. The skillet and lid were stripped of the old carbon, crud and rust using electrolysis, steel wool, Dawn dish soap, elbow grease and cotton towels. It now has only a light coat of vegetable oil on it and is ready for your seasoning. This skillet does have a low spot in the center which also results in a slight wobble and light spin. This is common with Martins so I think it is more from manufacturing than warpage. The skillet has no cracks or breaks with only a few minor factory pouring flaws as shown making it a near perfect daily user or display. The hamburger logo is clear and defined as is the size markings and once seasoned to even out the patina would be an exceptional showpiece. PLEASE SEE PICTURES FOR BEST DESCRIPTION.
