Here we offer for your consideration a Rare Antique Wood Burning Cook Stove. This stove was made in the late 1800’s by the Black & Germer Stove Company in Erie Pennsylvania. The Trade Name on the front door is “Radiant Home”. We have owned this stove for about 15 years and have never hooked it up. We bought it mainly for decoration as it is the fanciest one we have been able to acquire in 43 years. The stove measures 49 inches wide on the top including the Water Reservoir. It has the step down that stands off to the side about another 8 1/2 on the left side when facing the stove. The stove with top stands 50 inches tall or 5 feet & has a Nickel Crown that sits a top it going another 5 tall at the center. The stove from front to back is 30 1/2 deep. The stove has Nickel plating everywhere and it is in amazing condition. So is the Cast Iron. We have had other stoves made much later, that were no where near in as good of condition. The inside grates are as great condition as the outside caps. We also have a lifter & a wood moving stick with the stove. The feet on the bottom are very rare as well, they are “Paw Feet”. There is one missing on the back and the previous owner had a Foot custom made to work on the back side. It has been on display with us all this time and is solid as a Rock. The top is beautiful as well and we have not been able to research the Majestic Warming doors yet. We will add when we have more history. The Stove Pipe area on the back is rare & beautiful and fits well on the base. We think this may have been added some time ago previous to us or the previous owner. But it matches like the day the stove was made. From our research so far this stove seems to date back to about 1878. Anyone having any more information we would surely pass on to the new owner. Again we have never burned the stove & used it only for decoration. So we are offering it as Un-restored.
