A very fine antique stove that would make a great show piece for kitchen or family room. The Wehrle Stove Company, founded in 1883 in Newark Ohio, manufactured stoves under that name until 1936 when the name was changed to the Florence-Wehrle Co. It has a rarely seen warming tray on one of the cooking elements, see pictures. Even more rare, it includes the large flue pipe allowing connection to an external chimney. These flues were almost always never saved. Also includes ash bucket and long handled scrapper. Stove has been in my family for nearly 100 years. It was the main cooking stove for my Grandmother in her country home in New Hampshire and I have had it on display in my home for the last 35 years. CONDITION: Age related wear from use and the firebox is missing some elements. Minor rust around the oven as show in the photos. DIMENSIONS: 61″ high x 38″, width of stove top, x 29 deep. Oven is 17 wide, 12 tall, and 16 deep. Easily disassembled for transport but still bulky.
