An antique SPARK cast iron pot bell stove. Not sure if it was a toy, salesman sample or something else. It was made by Grey Iron Casting Co. The vents open and close. Top plate comes up, there is no lifter. Does include a coal shovel & bucket and a shaker handle. Has ornate work on the legs and body, nicely made, one has a small break on the mounting tab, still sits OK. No other apparent damage, some mild wear. 14 tall and is about 7-1/2 by 9 inches at the feet. Vintage Griswold Cast Iron Minature Tea Pot Handled Kettle Rare Hard To Find, Sales Sample. It is about 4-1/4″diameter by about 7″ tall to top of handle and 6 long to end of the spout. It is marked Griswold on the bottom, as seen in the pictures. There are no cracks or chips and sits flat. It is cast iron and a magnet sticks to it. It has been displayed a long time, so new owner can clean the dust off it. Please look at my other items for sale.

Antique Cast Iron Toy Salesman Sample Cast Iron Bird Stove & Range Accessories. Included removable parts: BIRD hinged front oven door, hinged fuel door & BIRD side shelf on left of stove. On top of stove, removable parts include stove pipe (5) water reservoir plate and 4 round stove lids, each removed with a combination lid lifter and ash shaker. Other separate parts are tea kettle with moveable lid, frying pan, cooking pot, coal skittle bucket and handle to lift trivets. Movable handle to left of large BIRD door, and lid lifter has a square to be used as a tool to turn nob to the left of BIRD a door. Twists a working part inside stove. Size: 11″ x 6″and 12 high to top of stove pipe. This was my Grandma Viola’s born in 1880 in Iowa. It traveled to Washington state where I live. From a smoke free home.

We are liquidating these two awesome Eagle Stoves from a local estate. There is some rust present. Also, there could be components missing or broken, we are not experts so please examine all photos for exactly what you will be receiving. I can tell that on the larger stove the chimney is missing and part of the top of the shelf is broken. The chimney would be needed to hold that shelf upright. Late 19th-century cast iron salesman sample stove marked Eclipse
Salesman sample stoves were popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, allowing traveling salesmen to showcase their company’s products to potential retailers without carrying full-sized stoves. These miniature stoves were often made with the same level of detail as their larger counterparts. This is a cast nickel stove with very elaborate embossed ornamentation featuring medallions and floral-themed scrolls. The stove has six burners and lidded reservoir, very richly decorated cast nickel chimney with elevated double-door warming cupboard, wide front oven door with name “Eclipse”, shaking grate with access from front and side, warming hearth with rare removable floral embossed side vents. An extraordinary stove in beautifully preserved condition except it needs polishing. American, circa 1890, model 58 by J&E Stevens, Cromwell, Connecticut that continued to be made until at least 1903 when it was advertised in Montgomery Ward catalog as “undoubtedly one of the handsomest toy ranges on the market” ; the firm also produced other cast iron toys and banks.
