VINTAGE ANTIQUE CAST IRON POTBELLY LEG FRAME WOOD/COAL STOVE BASE. Frame is about 19 1/2″ X 23″ and 7 3/4 tall. Frame is not a reproduction its the real deal. One repair present but done properly and seen from the exterior. This would make a good base for the right stove, coffee table, foot stool or a nice table base for a glass top. Its pretty much suitable for any setting, whether it be in an antique shop or as a statement piece in your home. Frame has some beautiful embossed designs on the antique exterior. USE The Tape Measure in the photos to help with sizing. Please see all photos for the best idea of the condition. There is no breaks or cracks present. In this listing – a nice vintage cast iron stove door and frame set – it is branded Ironsmith and is heavy and curved so it must have come from some kind of pot bellied or rounded front stove. I pulled it out of a rock pile while metal detecting on a family homestead. The door and frame cleaned up really well. I initially had only the door listed but went back to the site and dug out the frame as well. This set would be perfect for a barrell stove build. The door is 14 1/2″ X 12″ measured outside edge to outside edge straight across (excluding the handle part) – measured across and over the curve it is 15 1/2″ and the curve puts the top 3 1/2″ above a level surface. The frame borders add a couple of inches all around to really trim out the door. One door pin needs to be replaced – the handle has a little bit of wiggle but will take some work to get it turning again. Overall – a very heavy and good looking door.
