Vintage Victorian Ornamental Pale Blue Cast Iron Omega Freestanding Stove (Gas Fire) RARE. Very interesting, unusual and pretty Omega’Patent’ gas stove. Freestanding round cast iron gas stove with 6 splayed claw feet. Restored in the mid- 1990’s and powder coated pale blue. All intact it could be used as a working fire! ; or as a conservatory ornament. When’high speed’ natural gas displaced coal gas in the Bedford area mid-1960s it was converted by the gas board. Originally it was used as a space heater and lit with a match, heating. An upper church room over a Victorian stable – and never mind those burnt coal gas fumes! Good solid restored condition.
