It has radiant heat system built in with special bricks that hold the heat for over 24 hours and gradually radiate. When I fire it up it is still warm next day. Rare 1890’s Germer Radiant Home No 16 M Force Draft Parlor Heating Stove Erie PA

Rare Germer “Radiant Home No 16 M Force Draft” Cast Iron Parlor Heating Stove – Erie Pennsylvania. This is a rare stove. About 5 ft height when fully assembled on the base. Very heavy, I would guess weighs around 400 lbs. It is in storage so the current pics don’t do it any justice but it is a statement piece. Would be great as a centerpiece in the great room of a log cabin, rental, etc. Made around late 1890’s to early 1910’s. The trim pieces appear to have been painted silver and were probably nickel plated at one time. There is a little rust here and there but nothing major, mainly just needs cleaning. It would take some touch-up and restoration work if you want it to look perfect but displays very nicely as-is. Model No 16 M. American (Erie, Pennsylvania), late 19th-early 20th century. A cast iron parlor stove by Germer Stove Co. Having an urn-form finial, with mica windows and subtle Art Nouveau decorative motifs, monogrammed. Includes pipe and tools; ht. Antique Vintage Humphrey Radiant Fire Gas Fireplace Heater Made by General Gaslight Company, Kalamazoo Mi. This Working Solid Brass & Steel Fireplace can be used as a freestanding unit or it can be used as a Fireplace insert. The top side pieces and the plate in front of the Burners are solid Brass. The Top side pieces are painted Brass for visual effect. Great for a backyard Deck! Approximate Dimensions: 21 1/2 inches Tall X 19 inches wide X 11 inches Deep (Front to Back). It has been completely refurbished, Tested and is in excellent shape. It can run on LP Gas or Natural gas. This unit is a Vintage Gas Fireplace/Heater. IT DOES NOT HAVE AN INTERNAL PILOT OR IGNITOR. This unit is made to be lit manually. The Valve is operated by hand and you can vary the size of the Flame. You have to light the unit manually. It is currently temporarily rigged for use with a 20 Gallon Barbeque LP gas Tank (Tank is not included). The fittings included are the LP Regulator for the 20 Gallon Tank and a flared Gas hose connector. The Temporary Gas connections have been assembled with Teflon Tape to temporarily prevent leaks, HOWEVER, This unit should be installed by certified Gas Technician for safety reasons. The valve is Currently protruding from the front but that lower gas manifold is reversible with 2 screws. Therefore, the Valve can be placed in the Back if necessary. The top Black Gloss Paint is a very High Temperature paint, the other 2 cans are regular Temperature spray paint.
