Vintage O’Keefe & Merritt 1940’s Era Stove Fully Restored. This is a wonderful late 1940. Eefe & Merritt Stove with all the bells and whistles. 4 burners, two with simmer plates; chrome griddle, overhead range light, with working timer and built in outlet; spring loaded range top cover; oven and unique. Broiler, with an added storage drawer underneath. The stove comes from a historic home in Leimert Park. Unfortunately, it just doesn’t fit with a planned kitchen remodel, but I’ll be sorry to see it go! T make them like this anymore.. Clearly, lots of love and attention have been given to this classic piece. The stove is in restored condition and fully functional, it is in great shape with only minor cosmetic imperfections. Antique Okeefe & Merritt Radiant Ceramic Heater Stove Art-Deco WORKS

Early 1900’s Ceramic Brick Radiant Heater. Manufactured by Okeefe & Merritt. Cast iron and ceramic and a wonderful example of art-deco design. 25.5 X 8.5 X 22.5. Top portion of heater is made of ceramic and there are some chips and wear as seen in the photos. Bottom portion is cast iron. There appears to be a missing knob on front gas flow knob but turned freely by hand and threads are good for replacement. The good news is that heater has been modified to operate on LP (propane) rather than the original natural gas. LP hose and connector appears fairly new though we HAVE NOT tested with propane. Not as heavy as one would think because of partial ceramic construction. With some additional cleaning and polishing this unit would be a very attractive piece.

++++++++++++++++++++ THIS STOVE IS LOCATED IN HOUSTON, TX +++++++++++++++. This vintage natural gas O’Keefe &Merritt stove has three main attractive features: the folding burner cover that converts to a warming shelf; the large heavy removable center griddle makes great pancakes or grilled cheese, the “Grillivator, ” a 5 level, height adjusting broiler. It has 4 burners, a large baking oven, a lower warming oven. The size is 38″ wide, 29″ deep and 48″ height in the back and 38″ in the front. The chrome handles are oxidized and the central griddle knob is cracked. There are two chips in the white enamel of the right lower door to the master pilot light area.
