This is a vintage mid-century Foster Stove Co No 8 deep cast iron chicken fryer skillet in restored condition. The cooking surface has hints of utensil scores and one visible pit from corrosion These are undetectable as you glide your fingers over a glass smooth surface. Ten sheets of printer paper slipped under one side of the pan stops movement on a polished granite surface. No chips, cracks or repairs and does not spin. Test for flatness of item. With the item resting on a polished granite surface, press down all along the top rim searching for movement. If movement is found, slip pieces of printer paper under one edge of the until item stops moving. Item was stripped down to bare metal using collector approved lye bath and electrolysis treatments. This process ensures the removal all residue from previous use making it safe to use once more. Item is lightly seasoned with one round of Crisco at 450 for 1 hours. This item was photographed in very bright light to highlight fine details. Under these lighting conditions, item may take on a brown color. Items are much darker under normal light.
