This is a 4 wick kerosene parlor stove. It is an explosion proof burner type so the time period of this stove is from the 1860s to 1890s. It is 4 feet tall with a base of 21 inches square. It has been painted in a stove black high heat paint. But I plan on refinishing the top piece back the the brass finish. The top plate is not original to the stove it would have actually had a statute on top of it. But it looks good as is. The control knobs are seized up but I think they will work loose with a little bit of encouragement. The bottom caged area is set with natural amber mica glass that does naturally flake. But this can easily be replaced with clear mica. I’ve never seen a stove like this one and can find no information on it. I belong to several stove collectors groups and no one in them has seen one either. So this is a rare stove. I would guess this would run a few hundred dollars. The stove runs around 125 pounds all together. I also highlighted the engraving work in gold as a nice accent.
