A very rare and unique stove by AGA. It is called the model “G”. The range consist of two parts (it’s modular): the part with two burners on top and three doors (on the right) and the left section with two doors and warming plate on top. The entire thing is 58″ wide and 28″ deep. Here is everything that I know about this unit: This unit uses natural gas – there is no electrical hook up. It has a gas valve (like an older type water heater) and once it is ignited, it fires up and it never shuts off (on its own, unless the gas is turned off). It is made almost entirely of cast iron. The technology behind is that it cooks with cast iron heat radiant cooking – single source. It takes 24 HRS for this unit to pre-heat. Once done, each of the ovens as well as the burners on top hold a specific temperature. The upper oven on the right side will always hold 425-475 temperature range. The bottom/right oven is a slow cook and will always hold 325-375 temperature range. I don’t know exactly the temperature of the left ovens. The two burners on top – one is a simmer 392 degrees and the other is for boil – 692 degrees. Pots and pans are to be placed on top of these burners. The flat plate on the left is a warming plate. This unit has to be vented to the outside and in comes with two pieces of the original vent pipes but I suppose the vent pipe could be used from other material. When these units are set up, they are set up by an AGA factory service. There is insulation that runs in between the joints to make sure it’s sealed tight. Once these units are moved, the insulation may need to be replaced and corrected. I was told that if you call AGA they will send their service person to come out and properly install this unit in the new location. I do not know the cost of it so please call Aga with that question. It’s very heavy. I don’t have a scale but it’s safe to assume that it’s at least 900 lbs, maybe more. I posted a photo of the tag with the serial number so I’m sure the factory will be able to give you more info on that. I had an Aga service company here looking at it and they replaced the gas valve cover and the ignition device. Except that gas valve, there are no other mechanical parts. AGA has their own youtube channel called “AGA Ranges” and there are a few videos showing and demonstrating how to use this/similar units. Please check them out for more info. The range is in nice shape but it’s not perfect. There are some scuffs/dents (cosmetic only – non functional issues) on the sides of the unit. The ovens can use a cleaning. Ideally I would like someone to come and see it in person but I understand that no everyone is in close proximity to Arlington Heights IL 60004. This is all the information I know about this unit. This range is set up for natural gas. I was told that it can be converted to propane but please check with the factory to know for sure. The range comes as seen in the photos – nothing less and nothing more. Please do not assume that the unit comes with original manuals, all accessories, thank you card and recipe book. What you see is what you get and nothing less. The item “Aga 58 Model G All Gas Series Cast Iron No Electrical Required Vented Red” is in sale since Friday, August 13, 2021.
