It was made by the Excelsior Stove Works / I. This stove dates from the late 19. The stove measures 45 inches high, 20 in depth and 27 wide. Most of the parts are marked with PFR 17. The cast iron body with decorative rope surround with gilt details with further gilt decoration, raised on four legs. There is some old plastic on the cover (no glass) and on the bottom grate is missing the hinge pins but can be easily replaced. The stove came from an old estate in central PA. It has a lot of age to it and just needs a good cleaning. It makes for a great entertaining piece and is very hard to find. This item comes as is so please see pictures for more details.
