This griddle DOES appear in the 1939 Wagner Hotel Ware Catalog! “Cooking surface— 20″ wide by 30 long—-ground smooth and bright.. 1/2″ grease groove 1/4″ deep surrounds entire cooking surface and drains grease into large grease receptacle at end—-size 2 2/4″ x 8″ x 1/2 deep. Outer rim slightly higher than cooking surface so this can be kept submerged ingrease if desired. Bottom supported by 10 strong ribs cast into circle design to protect against warping or springing. Fits almost any size gas, coal or oil range. Size Including Handles: 21 x 34 in. Also Made in Cast Aluminum. “Ideal for Quantity Grilling of Steaks, Chops, Hamburg, Bacon, Baking of Griddle Cakes, Frying of Eggs, Sausage, Toasting of Bread”.
