Being offered is this very early Ornate Antique Cast Iron Wood Burning Stove! It is totally solid and in good to very good vintage condition with exception of weld repairs on one of the foot rests which is more obvious and shown in pic and welds on bottom and side of top door and on top of very top of stove and on bottom door and bottom drum and all is shown in pics. All doors open and close perfectly and Stove also has an extra cover piece for front that is shown in pic with O-V-B ROYAL on it that can be placed over the GLOBE OAKLET piece if desired. The round stove lid cover on top does not appear to be original and appears to be a newer piece of thin steel which I also mention for accuracy. The top circular piece did have some pitting and metal is thin but solid. Stove could be put back into service but was painted and makes a beautiful display piece. Stove is about 60 inches tall to top of original trophy piece and about 30 inches wide with foot rests on. All is shown in pics. See my feedback for confidence. What a STUNNING piece! For sale is this Antique Ornate Estate Oak Series No. 314 Cast Iron Parlor Stove. In overall good antique condition, especially considering its age. I have no idea if this was ever refurnished or not. Stove does have expected wear, rust, and marks from age and use. There is also small ding on back of finial and a split in top silver ring as highlighted in the photos. It has not been tested. This would make a fantastic addition to any shop, collection, or home. PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE DECIDING. This is a rare antique cast iron parlor stove art nouveau style late 1800’s early 1900’s this stove is as is for restoration repair. The stove stands 27″ tall by 17″ wide at the top 15 across the bottom. This stove has had repairs, the top has been stitch wielded and the lady on the left has been reattached. The ash drawer is missing , and the stove needs cleaning. This stove has the ash fall out the front of the stove as well as through the inside of the stove so I would not recommend burning in the stove this would make a great accent piece for a house restoration. The entire body of the stove is cast iron the underside of the bottom is tin. The body of the stove does not have damage the sides are not cracked the front doors are good. This stove has rods that hold the top to the bottom of the stove stand along with bolts, all have been replaced. The ladies are pined at the top and bottom so they come off when the top is removed. The the grate on the inside of the stove is too small for burning wood unless they are small pieces it would have been ideal for a smaller size coal. The finish on the top and the bottom of the stove need cleaned and refinished. I do not do refinishing on antiques. Again this is a rare one of a kind design in a parlor stove and quite unique making it a great addition to any century home restoration project. This is an original authentic 1900’s or earlier cast iron pot belly stove. I researched the style and it seems to be most commonly used by railroads. I have seen reference to “parlor” stove, “railroad” stove and “caboose” stove. The stove has been in a storage unit for the past 5-years. Some discoloration – possibly rust. Here is an absolutely fantastic true Victorian cast iron parlor stove C. The grates are in perfect condition and will burn either wood or coal. I have one of these stoves and it does throw off a lot of heat with a far better economy than a fireplace. It has mica panes in the sliding doors (very unusual) so you can still see the flames. I have an extra mica pane, and will install new mica in the doors. The upper and lower doors slide open to the sides for access, unusual feature that eliminates sagging hinges. The stove is a Violet No. 5 made by Perry & Co. From Albany, NY and Pat. Many of these stoves were lost to the scrap drives in the ensuing wars once central heating became widely available and these were no longer needed. This is a fully functional stove and not just an ornament. It measures 45″ high, 28″ wide and 25 deep. The breaching pipe is 21-1/4 inches from the floor to the bottom of the pipe. The superb casting is a lost art, made at a time where a stove was aesthetically pleasing to the eye as well as functional. There are no cracks or repairs and judging by the condition, this stove was not used very often. The gray material is a lubricant to make the doors slide more easily, good to 1600 degrees. I went over the stove with Rutland stove flat black to show the full beauty, this can be changed to gloss if preferred, and thanks for looking. Can deliver within 150 miles of 01030. It is the buyers responsibility to check with their contractor or any local ordinances concerning the use of this stove. This is a beautiful cast iron enameled French stove. The firebox and drawer inside is rusted but has no holes and was in use. The fire boxes can be replaced, and there are companies that do so today. Inside is a large tall cylinder iron firebox. We were told this is a multi fuel stove. It would be up to you to convert it to pellets, or bio fuel. If you are going to use wood, the wood has to be small in circumference, or stacked upright inside the narrow cylinder. There are two doors in the front, as well as a drawer that pulls out from the bottom. The top lifts off in two pieces. There are no holes or cracks in the cast-iron, but this does have scratches and wear from use in the enameling.
