Its in my barn past 25 years. Got it 200 miles north of Toronto Canada from my uncle. Very good condition, has heating oven in back. Its all made out of cast iron and is very ornate. Beautiful, extremely ornate with amazing detail. The steel insert is solid no holes.. It was manufactured in 1896 and you couldn’t even tell it was 30 years old. I’m really upset to see this go but my wife just doesn’t love American history as I do…… The only fault on the whole piece is its missing the ash cover door, but still looks gorgeous without it. Please feel free to message me if you have any other questions. Oh and the pictures were during the restoration so if it looks like a bolt or a piexe is missing i assure you it’s 100% complete. And though I couldn’t afford to get the whole thing nickel plated. I had it coated with extremely high temperature coating so it is functional and will not burn off. RARE Griswold CLASSIC #3 Ornate Cast Iron Nickle Plated Parlor Stove that has all of its Original parts and pieces and is in MINT condition. This beauty was stripped down and meticulously scrubbed for 100s of man hours to remove every bit of surface rust from each and every crevice, even the inside of this stove was done in the same way! After that the entire piece received a double coat of high heat metal priming paint. And then the high heat metal paint was applied for both the back and chrome colors. Simply soak the parts in a good paint stripper for a day or two and clean off to prepare for this process. THE SECOND PIECE THAT FITS INTO THE LARGER PIECE IS ABOUT 12 3/4 INCHES IN DIAMETER. THE SMALLEST MIDDLE PART IS ABOUT 6 1/2 INCHES. EMBOSSED AROUND THE BOARDER MANUFACTURED BY THE ADAMS COMPANY DUBUQUE IOWA, DESIGN PATENT AUG. THESE ARE VERY RARE AND HARD TO FIND.
