For sale is an antique wood cook stove. Made out of iron and covered in porcelain. Made by the Rock Island Stove Co. It is called the “Buffet Bakewell”. Stove measures 22 1/2″ tall by 46 1/2″ long and 26 3/4 deep. The legs measure 10″ high by 22″ wide by 42 long. The top piece is 17 tall. This attractive antique kitchen range by the Floyd-Wells Co. Of Royersford, PA, has porcelain blue-green edging and cream-colored field. This solid cast iron stove features six cooklids and a large oven. The cabinet above the cooking surface has interior speckle-finish. Oven has one shelf inside. The cooking range can also serve as a heating stove. A part of a catalog page advertising a stove nearly identical to this stove is included in the photos and lists the dimensions and weight. A lid lifter and a grate shaker are included. My research says that the grates in this range are what are called duplex grates. Duplex grates consist of two, two-sided, grate bars that lie horizontally on the bottom of the firebox. These two grate bars have gears called grate cogs on the front of them so that when the grate shaker is attached to the left one, both rotate about a quarter turn to shake ashes down to the ash drawer. The catalog page calls this a coal stove but I’m pretty sure you can burn wood in it. Instructions I found online for a different stove but with similar grate design say If you are using wood for fuel, turn the grates so the holes are turned up, using the grate shaker provided with your unit. If you use coal as a fuel, turn the solid side of the grates up. For this stove, the next to the last photo shows wood setting and the last photo shows coal setting. Condition: Please look at the photos for condition. I have never hooked up this stove to a flue and have never operated it, so I can’t vouch that it works. All the parts seem to be there and seem to function. I do not see any cracks in the cast iron. Porcelain is in very good condition. There is surface rust on exposed metal. The nickel components have rusted and the nickel finish is deteriorated but the. Is surface only and has not compromised the underlying metal. It is critical that the ash bin be replaced before use since it has corroded through in places. Holes in the ash bin can cause hot coals to sift through to the floor creating a fire hazard. A sheetmetal shop can make one of these for you pretty easily. The bale handle can be reused. Communicate first before returning. International Buyers Please Note. A very fine antique stove that would make a great show piece for kitchen or family room. The Wehrle Stove Company, founded in 1883 in Newark Ohio, manufactured stoves under that name until 1936 when the name was changed to the Florence-Wehrle Co. It has a rarely seen warming tray on one of the cooking elements, see pictures. Even more rare, it includes the large flue pipe allowing connection to an external chimney. These flues were almost always never saved. Also includes ash bucket and long handled scrapper. Stove has been in my family for nearly 100 years. It was the main cooking stove for my Grandmother in her country home in New Hampshire and I have had it on display in my home for the last 35 years. CONDITION: Age related wear from use and the firebox is missing some elements. Minor rust around the oven as show in the photos. DIMENSIONS: 61″ high x 38″, width of stove top, x 29 deep. Oven is 17 wide, 12 tall, and 16 deep. Easily disassembled for transport but still bulky. Beautiful, intricate Nestor Martin Cast Iron Porcelain Stove. Circa 1920’s Art Deco. It has been suggested that using a flame less candle and sitting it inside the stove, that the lighting would create a soft and inviting environment. It is a gorgeous stove. I believe it was a charcoal stove and had a cast insert that fit inside. It is missing the insert. The brass handle & knob are original along with the Porcelain. There is some small chips but does not detract from the beauty of the piece. Please see photos as the are part of the description. Dimensions are 16″ x 16″ x 31 tall. Vtg Antique Green and White porcelain cast iron gas cook Cooking oven with 4 stove Burners. Not sure if last letter is a g or c?? . 37 1/2″ wide x 37 3/4″ tall x 25 deep. Fair to good condition, Untested!! All valves turn freely. Has some porcelain chips, Normal wear with age to the porcelain, scuffs and scratches and few other wear marks. Needs alot of cleaning, mainly inside, Alot of cooking grime, oven cleaner works great with a razor. Has Rust, one drip pan has rust holes and pitting. The drip pan can be removed and repaired by your local welder shop, or find a replacement if possible. Other parts have rust and need sanded and painted with heat paint. Oven control knob is broke and needs replaced. Missing two smaller knobs on left side and one large on the right bottom drawer. Beautiful stove in Need of TLC. Appears complete besides some minor parts, Took plenty of pictures if you need more. Untested but should work, there’s not much to these beside keeping the burner and valve parts clean. Drawers have the original rollers and work great, everything is good besides the one drip pan rust holes which would not be to costly of a repair. Mainly a good cleaning and some fresh oven paint.
