We have owned this stove for over 50 years my wife’s father was in the Marine salvage business. After WWII he cut up Liberty ships for scrap on Shooters Island, between New Jersey and Staten Island just south of the Bayonne bridge. In 1962 he had half dozen Tracey coal boats (steel barges) these transported coal from the coal railroad car dumpers in New Jersey, to factories and power plants around New Jersey, New York harbor, and upstate. Each of these barges had a barge captain and a small cabin equipped with a coal stove for heat and cooking. That’s where our shipmate stove came from my father-in law scraped the boats but kept the port holes and stoves. Around 1970 me and my wife were building a cabin upstate NY. We took one of the stoves up for cooking and heat my wife even learned to use the oven our original slow cooker. The size of the stove is 34″wide x 26″ It was cast with markings above the oven door Marine Manufacturing & Supply Company New Brunswick, NJ. I will respond to any questions you may have. Mid to Late 1800’S Peerless Model 25 Cast Iron Parlor Wood Stove G. Exceptional Condition No burnout, no distortion or damage. Top loader, side loader, front loader. 45 miles southwest of Albany NY off I-88. Overall dimension 24″ x 34″ footprint x 42 high. Firebox size approx 20″ wide x 10″ deep x 16 high. Great Decor item in a Victorian Era bed & breakfast. Not just a decorative item it is a usable functionable woodstove. Not made for coal. Was coated with stove blacking but never buffed up so once that is done it will look even better. A STUNNING WOOD BURNING PARLOR STOVE. Needs a little tlc. Manufacturered by The Keeley Stove Co. Model is Columbian Joy Parlor Stove. Circa 1800’s and has been in the family for 4 generations. 23″ w x 21″ D 47″ top of stove with finail 60″ tall. Stove is completely useable, however has been just an ornament in a living room for years and needs just a little TLC. As far as any “cracks” I don’t see any in the structural metal just some small patchy areas of surface rust. The glass-like windows are made from natural formica stone – 2 are cracked and others show signs of age. AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION AND PICKED UP. IN PRIVATE HOME IN PLANT CITY, FL.
