This vintage stove belonged to my grandparents and they kept it stored away in the back room of their farmhouse. It has never been used and it has rust from years of storage throughout, but I was able to wipe lots of the rust away because it’s just surface. There are indeed ways to clear rust from cast iron. Because this stove is cast iron, it is VERY heavy!!! You will NOT find anything like this in such great vintage condition! Everything is in place, the nuts and bolts are in great condition and they are not rusted out. The doors are in great condition and easily swing open without squeaking or getting stuck. The screen is a bit tattered from years of just sitting and it has a tiny hole on its left side, but it still stands firm and the silver handle on the screen is in great condition with no rust. Additionally, the silver handle can be cleaned with a towel to bring back its original shine… I tried a small section and the dust rubbed right off. All 4 legs are solid and in place! ALL ORIGINAL PARTS ARE INCLUDED! If you would like updated pictures or have any questions please let me know! Be sure to investigate the hearth pad & installation requirements….. You may want a bottom heat shield on that stove. Also check the clearances to the walls, in case a rear heat shield or wall protection is required. Don’t assume that whomever did the install has done it correctly. Also looks like the front of the pad doesn’t extend far enough in front of the stove. Be sure to thoroughly inspect the flue and roof top exit before burning. Luckily, there are lots of posts for this stove. It’s a nice oldy. Do a search on Resolute and you shall find them.
