This is a beautiful 1906 Glenwood K stove in green enamel. The stove is not currently hooked up and running but it is in working condition. In the early years of the twentieth century, Glenwood stoves were a familiar sight in thousands of American homes. Manufactured by the Weir Stove Company in Taunton, Massachusetts, they were emblematic of the rapid industrialization that swept the northern and mid-western states following the Civil War. HERE IS A VERY RARE ORNATE CAST IRON ENAMELED STOVE CASE. BEST ONE WE HAVE COME ACROSS. WE ARE USING IT FOR PLANTS BUT THIS ONE CAN HAS MANY PURPOSES. ABOVE AVERAGE QUALITY WITH CUPIDS AND FIGURES ALONG WITH ORNATE FRETWORK. THIS GREAT PIECE CONVENIENTLY HAS FOUR DOORS WHICH ALL OPEN AND CLOSE AS SEEN IN OUR PHOTOS. UPON INSPECTION WE CAME TO THE CONCLUSION IT MUST OF HAD A GAS HEATER OR STOVE IN IT AT SOME POINT. LOOKS LIKE IT BELONGS IN A MANSION IN NEWPORT WITH THE QUALITY OF THE CASTINGS AND ENAMELING. THIS GREAT PIECE MEASURES 36″ INCHES WIDE X 15″ INCHES DEP FRONT TO BACK” X 35″ INCHES TALL. IN OUR LAST PHOTO WE ARE POINTING OUT AN OLD REPAIR TO THE REMOVABLE TOP CAST IRON GRILL. It’s very ornate and very well-built. It was used recently at the house it came from so it comes with all the piping including the spark arrester etc. The top center great lifts up. This has cabriole legs and it’s beautiful on all three sides. Made in the USA in the 1930s. There is some surface rust on the insides and it shows some wear on the enamel in places but it’s in extremely good condition for its age! Very nice stove that gets very warm. 42 1/2 inches tall by 28 inches long by 31 inches deep. It weighs approximately 200 pounds.
