Presented for your consideration is this antique parlor stove. The stove is a #38 Lincoln parlor stove and is made of cast iron with nickel plating everywhere but the grate doors and the interior of the stove. It features an ornate swirl design throughout with a hawk or griffin head at the left and right sides. “Lincoln” is written in large lettering across the front and No. 38 is written in the right and left front corners. The base of the stove has claw-like legs and a ornate handle is on the front towards the bottom which is for shaking the coal or wood to keep it burning. All of the grate doors on the front and side open with ease and the interior of the stove is in very good condition. This stove would have originally been used in a parlor for heating purposes. This stove appears to be complete except for the missing isinglass/mica glass and the top finial. Guaranteed to be antique. This neat stove would make a great addition to any stove or general antique collection! The stove was re-plated at one time. Some wear is present from age and use. Overall in VERY GOOD condition.
