This is a beautiful 1906 Glenwood K stove in green enamel. The stove is not currently hooked up and running but it is in working condition. In the early years of the twentieth century, Glenwood stoves were a familiar sight in thousands of American homes. Manufactured by the Weir Stove Company in Taunton, Massachusetts, they were emblematic of the rapid industrialization that swept the northern and mid-western states following the Civil War. Excellent Glenwood cast iron stove. This was in active use until a few years ago when it was moved to make room for some kitchen renovations. Since then it has been stored in nice dry conditions. In very, very good condition. No cracks or breaks. Appears complete, but perhaps it is missing one item or another, so please look at the photos. This is a Model 408-E, made in 1903 by the Weir Stove Co. About 55″ wide x 28″ overall. Top surface is about 47 wide. Located in the Jamaica, VT area.
