ANTIQUE 1910 KENTON TOYS MINIATURE CAST IRON & STEEL CHILDS TOY COOK STOVE GREEN. This is the antique toy version of the old wood burning cast iron cooking stoves that were used to cook meals and warm the house. This one is by Kenton Hardware Co. In Kenton, Ohio founded by F. Known worldwide for their toys, the Kenton Hardware Company was promoted as “the largest factory in the USA exclusively making cast iron toys” at the turn of the 20th century. The factory produced a variety of toys that were miniature versions of fire engines, circus wagons, carriages, banks, trains and stoves. This antique green KENTON VENUS stove was made right around 1910 of steel and cast iron. It has all 4 burner lids or covers and also includes a lid lifter to remove them. It has a beautifully decorated opening main oven door as well as a removable ornate side extension. The stove displays very well & is in wonderful condition with some age related rust spots that give it an amazing old original antique look.
