An antique SPARK cast iron pot bell stove. Not sure if it was a toy, salesman sample or something else. It was made by Grey Iron Casting Co. The vents open and close. Top plate comes up, there is no lifter. Does include a coal shovel & bucket and a shaker handle. Has ornate work on the legs and body, nicely made, one has a small break on the mounting tab, still sits OK. No other apparent damage, some mild wear. 14 tall and is about 7-1/2 by 9 inches at the feet. This one is really nice and would be really hard to upgrade. Dimensions – 13 5/8 ” tall x 8 3/4 ” deep x 8 wide. Age – ca 1900 – 1940 +. Condition – Fine condition (see pics). There is a little gate on the bottom that opens and closes, and that still works the tiny gate on the front as shown in the photos also still opens and closes. I don’t know if this was designed for actual use or just display, to me it looks like it would be used for preparing coals for camping, like Dutch oven cooking. I have not tried using it for that.
