Antique Cast Iron Parlor Stove Cover with Little Girl Finial was found in New England. The round stove cover is 9 3/4 inches in diameter and about 3 1/2 inches tall. The most unusual part-the finial, is a little girl. She’s 6 3/4 inches tall, 2 1/4 inches long and stands on a slight mound 2 1/4 inches deep. The stove cover does have a crack. Cover in fair condition due to the crack, girl finial in good condition.

Vintage Cast Iron Cookware. Each of the listings should have a information card in the pictures. Check out the card for the items information. Msg me for it. I have acquired hundreds of Cast Iron pieces over this last several months and have been working to clean and season them. You will be able to find that special gift that you want to give that special person or yourself this cooking season. CAST IRON, all the cast iron is cleaned and seasoned unless its stated otherwise. I gauge movement by a business card. Usually less than a card of movement I consider it to be flat. However you may see that I state that it has a tap movement. That just shows that if you push down at that point it will tap the surface. Any movement more than that I will list it as how many cards it takes to level it out. I clean the cast by electrolysis and season it with a beeswax and vegetable oil mixture. Overtime I have tried several different ways of seasoning. I have recently been trying a heavier coating to get a more stick free finish. However some of the older pieces have less of a coating. All of them will get better with use and more seasoning when you cook with them. Most of the pieces will come to you in a dark Cast Iron color, some however will be a brownish color. But all will darken more with use. They will darken up over time and use to become the black color everyone associates with Cast iron Skillets. Some of the Cast Iron pieces are coming out of my collection so they will not be as cured as the others since I use a lot of them for display purposes. If I find any issues with the Cast Iron item I will state it in the narrative. If you have any issues with any item I sell let me know and I will fix it. Pool noodles and bubble wrap are usually used. Due to the large number of items I acquire and sell, I may be wrong with the name or description on any one of them. Use the pictures that I include to determine your own description and condition. If you have issues please let me know so that I can work with you on them. Its a shame that the US Postal Service cant do its job and deliver to US Military Personnel and track packages at the same time.
