Gorgeous “Erie” number 7 long griddle. Made by Griswold around 1905 before they branded it with the “Griswold” logo. This griddle is in excellent condition, especially considering its age. It has two very small areas of damage on the cooking surface, the largest smaller than a pencil eraser. The bottom surface is a little bit rough, possibly due to widespread minor sulfur pitting, but all markings on the bottom can still be seen. There is a slight wobble from corner to corner along the diagonal. This griddle was found in good used condition and had obviously been well cared for over the years. It was recently restored using lye and electrolysis, and seasoned with 6 coats of grapeseed oil.
