An Antique Cast Iron Woodstove / Fireplace Plate Part – With A Beautiful Mural Depicting Two Lumberjacks At Work – A Family Of Moose – A Fox Headed For The Henhouse – A Horse – & Two Birds In Flight. The four corners are factory notched – not broken. There is some surface rust remaining on the front side and the back side. With a little more light brushing or sanding and some polishing with wax or oil you should end up with one beautiful wall hanging ready to frame or incorporate it into your fireplace or set it on your mantel. This piece is large, 27 wide – 13 1/2″ high – 3/8″ thick. This item is also quite heavy, weighing in at almost 27 lbs. Judging by the mounting tabs on the backside, I’m assuming this cast iron piece was once part of a large woodstove. There are a couple of ID marks on the backside (23/ 1-7 & 118-5) but no manufacturers name.

For sale is a Jotul wood stove in GREAT used condition. Stove was extensively gone over. Interior plates were removed, wire brushed scrubbed and inspected, did a protective cover of paint. Inside of stove core has normal creosote. The only defect I could find was the front removable plate has a crack but is very usable. This stove should not need anything and last for many years. These stoves are very well designed and can be stripped down to a manageable weight to load and move. Our home has easy access to highway’s I-80.
