This is a beautiful antique cast iron “stove” heater. The patent # is 1757593 and was filed in 1929 by W. It is missing 2 of the ceramic inserts. This would be really pretty painted, the legs and the scroll iron work and the front grill was originally gold and I suspect the rest was black. It measures 21″ high by 27″ wide. Are one of the most minimalistic, beautiful & effective insert we’ve yet to come across for the price and it does the job well. The size of the stove are for medium size masonry chimneys and so the viewing glass & burn time (in my opinion) is quite sufficient to enjoy a beautiful fire all the while keeping your moderate size home (up to 1800 sq ft) warm. BASIC THINGS TO KNOW. INSERT SIZE: (Width X Height X Depth: 27.25 x 21.25 x 13 inches) If you don’t mind the stove sticking out of the fireplace a little, I would worry most about the width and height. Despite not being perfectly deep enough, my chimney is a 30 wide by 22 inch height and it fits it perfect with the stove sticking out on the hearth about an inch. I don’t mind this at all since from my experience, the faceplate doesn’t affect the efficiency as much as others may suggest. It’s advertised to only fit 18 inches side to side but on occasions, you can go 20 inches diagonally when you just want a casual fire rather than a fully stuffed box to achieve maximum heat output. Heats up to 1800 sq ft. EPA 2020 Certified being that it emits under a certain amount of CO2 per hour. This unit emits 1.26 grams of CO2/hr. Of all the fans out there, I prefer this type the most as it turns on automatically like most fans when the unit reaches a certain temperature but it also allows you to switch it off should you not care for the fan to be on. The noise level on this is just perfect when it’s low and variably increases as your turn up the knob. Medium Wall Plate that flushes with your chimney for a clean fit. 29″ x 44″ black faceplate.
