Here you have a Tappan, Antique Porcelain Enamel Cast Iron gas stove/oven. This is a wonderful piece and a great conversational item! It shows very well and gets lots of compliments! It has a very unique history, as it was featured in a book about symbols and how they have changed over the years. This particular stove was made in 1925, before the war. On the gas handles; but at the time, it was a symbol of “good will” and “good luck” only. I bought this stove at an estate sale in 2002. It was actually still being used and we had to disconnect it. It has been sitting in my kitchen ever since, we never hooked it back up because we just used it as a decoration piece. I have no reason to believe it would not work, but you would have to get it checked (as I’m sure you would do to any older gas piece, before using it).
