This has Boston and Maine Railroad marks on it. I was told it was in a Caboose from a train in VT. It has the steel rod slots to keep it in place. It could have also kept weary travelers warm in the station. Howes Company in Boston made stove related stuff from 1870 to the early 1900’s in Boston, MA. Boston and Main used them before they made their own version The Railway King in 1900. It’s funny the B&M Brand looks just like the Station Heater! Stored in an attic. Usable in my opinion but not UL listed of course. Good news is it breaks down into 5 pieces and will fit into a car. The only thing i did was to put some stove polish on it.
